Usage Note 35993: Attribute value changes are not supported in the Attribute-Based hierarchy
If you use an attribute-based hierarchy in demand modeling in the SAS
® Revenue Optimization Suite(SAS Markdown Optimization, SAS Regular Price Optimization, SAS Promotion Optimization),
do not change custom attribute values at any level between the top and the bottom levels of the attribute-based hierachy. The SAS Revenue Optimization Suite does not support changing the values of attributes upon which an attribute-based hierarchy has been built.
The attribute values are used to construct the surogate keys(SKs) in the hierarchy's construction. Changing the attribute values will result in out-of-sync model groups.
For more information, see "Attribute Value Changes Are Not Supported in the
Attribute-Based Hierarchy" on page 269 of SAS Merchandise Intelligence Analyst Guide.
